Questions and Answers
5" x 7" Archival Envelopes - John Porter - organize your photos!
Replace old acidic processing envelopes with these safe ones. Has space to place either a CD or DVD separate from photos. Lots of space for info on the outside. Per pack of 10. John Porter brand.
Works best for 4x6" size photos, and you can slip in a CDs or DVD, or negatives, too.
Our each is a 10-pack of 5” x 7” acid-free and lignin-free archival envelopes for storing negatives, index prints, and discs. They’re archival and feature a 3-1/2” x 5-1/2” window on the front and a box for entering the date and subject.
If you opt for the 50 pack, we will remove the envelopes from their rather large and bulky outer box, and give you a bulk pack of 50 in a plastic sleeve. The bulk pack saves on shipping.

Q:
Re: John Porter 5 x 7 archival envelopes. Are these intended for only one photo or can I put in 10-25?

A:
That's a great question and I'm glad you asked it. You can easily get up to 15 of the 4x6 size photos in each envelope. But for 5x7, it's so very tight. So I would not use them for 5x7 at all. For some of the larger sets of processed photos, I use more than one envelope for those. They are nice to work with. You just note all the important information on the envelope. You can even place notes behind the photos, or a CD, or negatives if needed.
