A perfect size for any letter sized document, or several, this personal time capsule features a twist-off cap and is made from polished stainless steel. Choose a velvet pouch that fits if desired. If you intend to bury, add the sealant option.

Great item. Exactly as desribed. Looking forward to double sealing it (the second way being by placing it inside a length of 4" PVC pipe with caps on each end) and burying it.

Q:
Regarding the stainless steel option, when closed is it permanently sealed or would it be ok to open at different intervals. i.e. at 5, 10, 15 years instead of just a single 20 year opening.

A:
This item has a threaded sealing design. The lid screws down. If you follow the instructions that come with the sealant included, you would place the bead of sealant along the lower edge of the capsule body (not all over the threads), so that when it is opened, one can cut away the cured sealant in order to open it again. Please check back with our store on September 1 for the ability to order this item.
