Both the 6x24 basic and the 6x24 standard are good and pass the important inspection points that we offer. The only difference is that the basic units are better candidates for engraving, since there will be less scratching on the lid, for instance. The imperfections of the 'standard' containers are minimal, and cosmetic - but they do exist so we offer our customers a choice. They are not really refurbished either, because they are completely new and nothing is really wrong functionally with them to begin with. The basic passes 12 of the 12 points of inspection, while the standard passes 11/12 (cosmetic being one). I hope this helps! Thank you for your question!

Using a past customer, Illinois State University, as a guide, it looks as if it takes 4 working days to that location. Using another customer, Chicago Historical Society, also shows a 4 working day transit time. I can also tell you that this item IS in stock, and (if not engraved) only takes 1 day for processing (if ordered early in the day it will likely go out that day). Working days for us are Mon to Fri, Pacific Time, about 10 to 4. The usual method for shipping this is Fed Ex Ground - so you could also use their map for even more detail. We tax entities in California only, and it is our physical location. After the South Dakota vs Wayfair case a few years ago, a detailed review showed that our company cannot meet either the threshold in $ amount or that of the number of transactions to any certain state to qualify for collecting taxes in any other state, at this time. So, at this time, you will not be charged for tax from us unless you are in California. Thank you for the question.
