As a general rule, use 1 unit extra for each pound of paper you have inside of your time capsule. Simply remove from the plastic packaging, then place at the bottom of your time capsule container before you start putting your contents inside.
The packets are non-dusting and have a white covering. They can be reconditioned if you are using them for general artifact storage.These desiccant packets work great for time capsules. In storage, you may want to add more of these packets to your time capsule should you have a lot of paper and items that will hold and give off moisture.
