We have a re-stocking fee of 20% of any product you buy from us. To get the remainder, you must follow our instructions (see below). Returns are always a pain for the customer as well as for us. We try our best to do the right thing.


Do not automatically send the items to us – call (626) 966-1955 or email customer service first to receive authorization. We’ll need to know the reason for return. You have 14 days from the date of receipt to get this return authorization.

Then, you have 14 days from the date of authorization to get the product to us. This will vary depending on where you live.

What Can I Return?

  • Kits and Supplies

You can return most stocked archival kits and supply items, with a few exceptions. Unless returned for reasons of defect or damage, all returns must be in the original package and must be in a condition suitable for resale. Items must be unused. Take care with packaging so that it doesn’t get damaged in transit. Save all packaging received with the item, and rearrange it properly so as to protect the item. All return items are inspected carefully for signs of usage.

  • Time Capsules

Time Capsules can be returned if unused, but care MUST be taken with packaging. In no case can the capsule be used or have any markings. All items originally furnished to you with the time capsule must be returned as well (all paperwork and kits). If we cannot resell the returned capsule, we cannot honor a complete refund.

If you order a custom made time capsule to dimensions that we do not normally sell and stock, there will be a charge for any post production cancellation of the item. We advise you contact us since this will vary depending on the particular capsule type and size.

What Can't I Return?

  • Custom Made or Engraved Items

Any engraved items, unless defective, cannot be returned.

  • Outdoor Cast Plaques

Plaques, because they are custom and personalized, cannot be returned.

What if I receive damaged goods?

When your order arrives, inspect all packaging carefully for damage before signing. Note any damage or suspected damage on the delivery receipt. If the items are damaged, do not throw the carton away. Call us right away. Also call the delivering carrier and request an inspection report. Confirm with us in writing within 14 days after delivery. Send a copy of the inspection report along with a brief description of the damage to our Customer Service Department. Every return to us must be authorized. You must get an authorization number from us to return any item.
