This easy to use pouch with insert is designed to fit most newspapers that have been folded once, such as you might see in a newsstand or display. Or it could fit a small tabloid size newspaper.
What is Special About the Kit?
No optical brighteners are used in the manufacturing process. The MicroChamber products incorporated in this heavy paper effectively remove many harmful compounds such as phenols, ethanoic and methanoic acid, sulfur dioxide, ammonia, and formaldehyde, which contribute to the aging of artwork and other materials. This heavy white sheet is Buffered, Acid Free & Lignin Free, and imparts a pH protective backing (and does much more than that). Of course, the paper meets the regulations of ANSI/ NISO Z39.48-1992 (Permanence of Paper) and passes the Photographic Activity Test (P.A.T.) It is placed inside of an archival uncoated polyethylene zip pouch, archivally safe, which is thick and moisture-resistant. The zip style closure is along the smaller end. Also, each kit includes a small 2-gram silica gel packet for added protection from moisture.

Measure Carefully!
While this kit fits most modern newspapers laid out flat, be sure to measure your item in 3 dimensions - Length, Width, and Thickness. The Kit is flat, so you need to add the thickness to the width to get the right fit for your item.

Great For Older Large Format Magazines
I bought these kits for old Life Magazines. They can fit quite a few in each one if desired. It is nice to know that after waiting so long that these magazines which are from historic events such as the first moon landing will be preserved for my family to enjoy for generations. In addition, Janet's customer service was excellent.

Easy to Use Kit came in handy
We got one of these kits in our Preservation Kit and we really liked it. It came in handy for storing our newspapers inside of the time capsule. We got about 2 of our daily newspapers inside each one. The insert that comes with the kit makes it sturdy and also does some good I guess over time (we hope). Very easy to use, glad we got it in the kit.
