Newspaper File Kit 14x24 zaps acids! Includes free booklet
Kit Includes:
(1) 14x24"" heavy duty archival uncoated quality polyethylene zip lock bag and
(1) 13.3" x 23.5" heavy 1 ply sheet of 100% cotton museum-quality AlphaRag Artcare (TM) sheet that features MicroChamber Technology.
(1) 2 gram packet of silica gel
What is Special About the Kit?
No optical brighteners are used in the manufacturing process. The MicroChamber products incorporated in this heavy paper effectively remove many harmful compounds such as phenols, ethanoic and methanoic acid, sulfur dioxide, ammonia, and formaldehyde, which contribute to the aging of artwork and other materials. This heavy white sheet is Buffered, Acid Free & Lignin Free, and imparts a pH protective backing. Meets the regulations of ANSI/ NISO Z39.48-1992 (Permanence of Paper) and passes the Photographic Activity Test (P.A.T.) The archival uncoated polyethylene zip pouch is thick and moisture-resistant & features a zipper style closure along the smaller end. Also, each kit includes a small 2-gram silica gel packet for added protection from moisture.

Measure Carefully!
NOTE: Measure your newspaper before ordering! Be sure to measure your item in 3 dimensions - Length, Width, and Thickness. The Kit is flat, so you need to add the thickness to the width to get the right fit for your item. For the 14x24 kit, your item should be 13-1/2" or under for width (plus thickness), and 23" or under for length. While this size of kit fits most modern newspapers laid out flat - such as the LA Times, not all newspapers are the same measurements!

Great For Preserving Family Keepsakes
Firstly, the customer service of Future Packaging and Preservation is excellent. Any questions were answered quickly with very helpful responses. I am wanting to preserve some older newspapers dating back to the late 60's in addition to newspapers from the date of birth of my children and grandchildren.. Each paper fit easily into the zip lock bag, even when it was a Sunday edition. I feel confident that the Newspaper File Kit will keep them in good condition so they can be enjoyed by my family for many years to come.

Each Newspaper File Kit includes the special Alpharag insert and the plastic zip bag to enclose your newspaper and the insert. It also includes a small packet of silica gel, and a free info pamphlet on preserving newspapers.

I previously ordered KT-11364 Newspaper File Kit 2 pc 14x24 with Free Info Book and it was $10.49. It said it was $12+. I want to order 5 more-can I still get the $10.49 each price?

No, I am sorry. We were able to order more of this special Alpharag but it has become more expensive and therefore the kit price is also more expensive. Thank you for your question!

You don't say how many pages are in your newspaper, but here is a general guide. In general, you can fit one newspaper lying flat, up to 20 pages per issue, on either side of the Alpharag insert in this bag. Maybe other customers can add their experience, also. Thank you for your question.
