Painting or Polishing your Time Capsule
Why have your capsule painted or polished?
If purchased alone, our box-shaped capsules come with a natural 2B finish. This is an industrial finish (i.e. welds are visible) but some customers may prefer a different look. For these customers, we offer either polishing or painting.
COSMETICS
- Polishing (Models 3000, 4200)
A polished capsule has a nice, clean finish. It makes the capsule look like an art piece and is mirror-like but iIt does nothing to help protect against corrosion and is difficult to photograph well. - Painting (Models 3000, 4000, 4200)
A painted capsule will hide the welds. Choose from something close to your own color or one of our stock paints (green, blue, yellow, red, black). PRIMER - extra protection against corrosion & is recommended for a capsule burial of 50 years or more. (included with Paint Jobs only) Please allow an extra 2 weeks for delivery of painted capsules.
